My daughter went with me on the hike through the Big Thicket, where we saw some lovely dormant pitcher plants. Yesterday, she came home with this little guy. What a lovely surprise! I hope I can keep it alive. My study isn’t much of a swamp, but I put it in water on my window sill. It’s amazing inspiration as I complete the final polish on my novel Pineywoods.
